CEBU INMATES: This is it!

Cebu Provincial and Rehabilitation Center's "This Is It" video is finally out! 

What first started as a dancing exercise for inmates became a viral hit when security consultant Byron Garcia posted it on you tube and the rest they say is history...

These prisoners have garnered so much media attention here and abroad that Micheal Jackson's choreographer for 10 years Travis Payne contacted the governer to enter the high security prison to show them some moves himself.

What a marvelous performance and very clever marketing ploy for the "This Is It" DVD release! *clap clap clap*

I want to watch these guys live!!! I just hope there won't be a jail break though! Now! Who's goin with me?

New Ms. Cebu Crowned: Yey or Nay?

In case you weren't at the Waterfront or watching live on Ch.23 to witness the pageant last night.

Fret not, coz you didn't miss much,

It was a spectacle

turned into a debacle.

21 year old registered nurse and CNU graduate Reena Elena Malinao is Ms. Cebu 2010.

For the final question--- Inlight of the challenges the Philippines is facing today, What is the social responsibility of a beauty queen?

"She should be a woman with substance and moral but best of all, her responsibility is to stand for what she thinks. A beauty queen symbolizes femininity." - Malinao answered

I guess this would be the only part that wowed the judges

This year's pageant took on My City, My Heritage as a theme focusing on Cebu's rich cultural background.

Designers put a modern twist on the terno for the opening number.

Wonder how the teachers will react when students come in wearing these during linggo ng wika.

Among last night's performers were homegrown divas Anna Fegi and Verni Varga.

Ms. Varga showed everyone that she can still hit those high notes and is aging beautifully.

 Christian Bautista is becoming a permanent crooner to Ms. Cebu Pageants.

Rovilson as a host is refreshing, downright witty and easy on the eyes.

Former Ms. Cebu Sian Maynard looks gorgeous in 3 outfit changes but seems a lil uneasy on stage.

a lil powder might also help to keep the shine off

 Also a former Ms. Cebu runner up and KWK host Kat Ross has improved a lot from the shy skinny girl in her tweens that I used to know into a woman with substance.

 I love the over all construction of this gown and the person wearing it--- gave it justice.

 Designer Cary Sangtiago won Best Evening Gown Designer Award and Blinky was awarded Best in Evening Gown

Catacutan (left) won Ms. Friendship and Ms. Photogenic while De leon (left) bagged the Ms. Belo Beautiful and Ms. Belo Essential Star White Skin

These awards have no bearing to the final judges scores however.

The good thing about this year's coronation is that they started right on time with or without an audience and have eliminated the texter's choice award due to the past year's controversy.

The final result of the TOP 5 however have flooded facebook news feed last night with varied reactions but please take note that pageants really depends on how the judges perceive it and it's just another form of entertainment.

Confessions of a Moviephile: My top 5 movies of 2009

I am so glad that 2009 movie world ended with a bang due to the release of AVATAR! From a director who makes movies like --- once in a decade! It was definetely worth the wait.
Here's my top 5 list of the 2009 best movies.

Meanwhile here's video clip from TMZ with my favorite director on a titanic dispute with an autograph seeking fan as to who is the bigger A-hole... You decide.



It all went down at LAX -- when James walked past a man holding an "Avatar" poster, and refused to sign. The man went back to Cameron and asked again to which James replied, "I don't owe you a f**king signature ... just get out of my f**king personal space."

That's when the fan lost it and replied, "I'm an asshole because I ask someone I admire for their autograph that makes me an a**hole? I make $15-an-hour at work to go see your film and I'm an a**hole?"

GREAT DIRECTOR BUT MAJOR A-HOLE! I'll stick to admiring just his films then.
